Katsuhiro Otomo "AKIRA" sound "Unknown sound that colors timeless anime movies" exhibition

The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation has announced that it will unveil a new exhibition, "The Sound of" AKIRA ", an Unknown Sound that Colors Timeless Anime Movies."

Mr. Yamashiro, who produced the music for "AKIRA", was engaged in music activities while conducting research to explore what the lifestyle of Homo sapiens should be as a natural scientist.

In that activity, he couldn't refuse the request from Director Otomo, and decided to make it while studying film music. For the production of this film music, we devised a method called a sound module, and used the sounds (voices, folk instruments, etc.) actually experienced in fieldwork around various communities around the world to create works that are different from existing film music.

In the exhibition, you can experience the high-resolution sound experience by experiencing the surround sound of 6 speakers that can reproduce more than the audible range designed by Mr. Yamashiro himself.
